VICTORIA, Seychelles — The SESELWA Association held its Ordinary General Assembly on December 10, 2025, with the distinguished presence of His Excellency George Tirant, Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles. The assembly, held at the association’s premises in Belgium, brought together members of the Seychellois diaspora community to review the year’s work and elect a new board.
Members approved the new composition of the board: Frank Underwood as president, Claudiana Dugasse as vice-president and secretary, Serge Moinet as treasurer, Octavia Dumoulin and Eudoxie Labiche as cultural officers, and Dominique Dienis-Dugasse as communication officer, the latter approved by telephone. The new leadership team is expected to advance the association’s mission of strengthening bonds and celebrating culture among Seychellois living abroad.
The SESELWA Association, based in Belgium, has been a focal point for the Seychellois community in the diaspora, organising cultural events, networking activities, and initiatives that preserve the heritage and identity of Seychelles. The association continues to play an important role in keeping the diaspora connected to their roots while contributing to community life in their adopted country.
