SESELWA Association in diaspora holds annual general assembly
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The SESELWA Association, which brings together Seychellois in the diaspora, held its Ordinary General Assembly on December 10, 2025, with the distinguished presence of His Excellency George Tirant, Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles.
During the assembly, members approved the new composition of the board for the coming term. Frank Underwood was named president, Claudiana Dugasse as vice-president and secretary, and Serge Moinet as treasurer. Octavia Dumoulin and Eudoxie Labiche were appointed cultural officers, with Dominique Dugasse approved by telephone as communications officer.
The general assembly provided an opportunity for the association to reflect on its work over the past year and to plan initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between Seychellois abroad and the homeland. Members discussed cultural programming, youth engagement, and the role of the diaspora in supporting community projects.
The ambassador’s participation underscored the importance government places on maintaining strong links with Seychellois communities overseas. The association is expected to publish its full activity calendar in the coming weeks.
