President Ramkalawan Honours Seychelles’ Top Cambridge Achievers
VICTORIA, Seychelles — President Wavel Ramkalawan has honoured Seychelles’ highest achievers in the 2024 Cambridge International examinations, in a ceremony recognising the academic excellence of the country’s top secondary school students. The President congratulated the students on their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding results, which have placed Seychelles on the regional and international academic map.
The ceremony, held at State House, brought together the high-achieving students, their families, principals, and teachers, who were acknowledged for their role in supporting the learners. Education officials noted that the performance of the top achievers reflects the strength of Seychelles’ secondary education system and the commitment of educators across the country.
President Ramkalawan urged the students to continue pursuing excellence, and to use their knowledge and skills to contribute to national development. The ceremony included the awarding of certificates and trophies, and the sharing of personal stories of perseverance and determination that contributed to the students’ success.
