Port Glaud Celebrates International Day of French Language Teachers
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The district of Port Glaud has celebrated the International Day of French Language Teachers, in an event organised in collaboration with the Alliance Française des Seychelles and the National Francophonie Commission. The event brought together French teachers, students, and members of the community to mark the important contribution of teachers of French to the country’s education and cultural life.
Activities during the celebration included cultural exchanges for youth, performances, and discussions on the role of the French language in Seychelles’ education system and in the country’s cultural heritage. The event was also an opportunity to recognise the dedication of French teachers across the country, including those in the Cap Ternay village area.
Officials and partners at the event thanked the French teachers for their contribution to the development of young Seychellois and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the teaching and learning of French in Seychelles. The International Day of French Language Teachers is marked globally to celebrate the role of teachers in promoting linguistic and cultural diversity.
