Seychelles Sportsmen and Women Invited to Apply for Chevening Scholarships
VICTORIA, Seychelles — Applications for the 2026/2027 Chevening Scholarship programme are now open in Seychelles, with the British High Commission encouraging Seychellois professionals with leadership potential to apply before the deadline. The scholarships, fully funded by the United Kingdom government, support one-year Master’s degree studies at UK universities.
Chevening scholars are selected on the basis of academic excellence, professional achievements and leadership potential, with priority given to applicants whose chosen field of study aligns with Seychelles’ development priorities. Past Seychellois scholars have gone on to senior roles in government, civil society, the private sector and the creative industries.
The British High Commission said prospective applicants must hold an undergraduate degree, meet the English language requirement and have at least two years of relevant work experience. The application window will close later this year, after which shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend interviews as part of the final selection process.
