Jean-Luc Rose Wins President’s Cup at NIHSS Graduation Ceremony

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Jean-Luc Rose has been awarded the prestigious President’s Cup during the graduation ceremony of the National Institute for Health and Social Sciences (NIHSS). Rose, who completed a Diploma in Emergency Medical Care among 86 students, received his cup from President Wavel Ramkalawan. He also received the Best Student Award, in addition to the President’s Cup, in recognition of his hard work and dedication throughout his studies.

During the ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, the new graduates were congratulated for completing courses in Health Care, Environmental Health Sciences, and other health-related fields, equipping them to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. In his opening remarks, the director of NIHSS reaffirmed the institute’s commitment, under the Ministry of Health, to promoting health engagement and teamwork in the country.

Several students were awarded for their exceptional work, with prizes going to top performers across all diploma streams. The graduates recited the professional pledge, marking their formal entry into Seychelles’ health workforce. The ceremony was attended by families, lecturers, and senior officials from the Ministry of Health.
