Cable & Wireless Seychelles Approves R133 Million Dividend for 2024

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Shareholders of Cable & Wireless Seychelles have approved the sum of R133 million as dividends in respect of its financial year 2024, with each shareholder receiving R22.17 per share, payable as of April 16, 2025. The decision was taken during the telecommunication company’s third annual general meeting (AGM) on Saturday April 5, 2025 at the Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa, Beau Vallon.
The dividend follows the company’s financial success in achieving a total revenue of R931.9 million in 2024, an increase of 2.3 percent compared to 2023. This strong performance enabled Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS) to record an operating profit of R54.6 million, representing a 3.7 percent year-on-year increase. The figures reflect steady growth in the local telecommunications market, driven by mobile data, broadband and enterprise services.
The AGM, attended by shareholders, board members and senior management, also reviewed the company’s strategic priorities for 2025, including network modernisation, expanded fibre coverage and continued investment in customer service. The healthy dividend is expected to be welcomed by Seychellois shareholders who have remained invested in the company since its listing. The meeting reaffirmed CWS’s commitment to maintaining its position as the leading telecommunications provider in Seychelles while contributing to the national economy through taxes, employment and shareholder returns.
