Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting (CFAMM)

Ambassador Jacques Belle, led the Seychelles’ delegation at the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Minister’s Meetings (CFAMM), held on 8 March 2026, in London.
The CFAMM, provides a platform for the Commonwealth Foreign Ministers to engage on different topics and events of relevance, in preparation for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2026), in November 2026, in Antigua and Barbuda. The theme for CHOGM 2026 is “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth.”
Leading up to the CFAMM, Foreign Ministers participated in a Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Retreat, under the theme of, ‘The Commonwealth at a Moment of Strategic Opportunity’. The Retreat highlighted key thematic themes including the future of multilateralism and commonwealth in the current global context, exploring innovative ideas and partnerships to deepen economic diplomacy and ties amongst Commonwealth states and ensuring the resilience of the Commonwealth across different global platforms.
Following the retreat, delegates proceeded to the agenda of the CFAMM, finalising key documents to be presented to the Heads of Government at the CHOGM 2026, with particular focus on climate finance, trade and investment, innovation and digitisation, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability amongst other themes of mutual interest of all Commonwealth Member states.
On the sideline of the CFAMM, Ambassador Belle laid a wreath at the Commonwealth Memorial Gates, Monument Hill on behalf of the Government and people of Seychelles and attended the Commonwealth Day Service at the Westminster Abbey.
Ambassador Belle was accompanied by Ms. Patsy Moustache, Acting High Commissioner, High Commission of the Republic of Seychelles, in London.
