Seychelles Defence Forces Promotes Nine Officers and Commissions Two at State House
VICTORIA, Seychelles — President Patrick Herminie, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Seychelles Defence Forces, presided over the promotion of nine army officers and the commissioning of two others in a special annual promotion and commissioning ceremony held at State House on Monday.
The selected officers promoted to the next rank were in accordance with existing criteria for promotion within the Seychelles Defence Forces. The highest-ranking officers to be promoted were Major Irene Pompee, Major Jude Raoul, and Major Hans Radegonde, who rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. The promotion ceremony, held in the presence of Vice-President Sebastien Pillay, recognised the dedication and professionalism of the officers.
The newly commissioned officers were officially welcomed into the officer corps, marking an important step in their military careers. The event highlighted the continued commitment of the Seychelles Defence Forces to nurturing leadership and recognising service at all levels of the rank structure.
