Marguerite Marie Robert Celebrates 101st Birthday Surrounded by Family
VICTORIA, Seychelles — Marguerite Marie Robert celebrated an exceptional milestone on Monday December 22, her 101st birthday, surrounded by loved ones, family, and friends in a warm and joyful atmosphere befitting a woman who has profoundly shaped her community.
Born and raised in Saint-Louis, Mrs Robert is a respected and beloved figure of the locality. As a mother of 15 children, seven boys and eight girls, she experienced both joy and sorrow, having unfortunately lost two sons and a daughter. Today, her descendants number more than 40 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, including 14 surviving great-great-grandchildren, the legacy of a family she built through faith and resilience.
She chose to celebrate her birthday among her closest loved ones, in keeping with her lifelong preference for quiet, family-centred occasions. The celebration stands as a tribute to a woman whose life, faith, and resilience have left an indelible mark on her community and on the generations she nurtured.
