Agriculture Department Honours Decades of Service at Eden Island Ceremony

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Agriculture department held its long-service award ceremony on Friday at Ochan Waterfront bistro on Eden Island, to honour the dedication, resilience, and hard work of employees who have devoted decades of service to the sector. The event recognised individuals who had reached milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 years of service.

Five employees were celebrated for five years of commitment, four for 10 years, three for 15, and another three for 20 years. Three individuals were honoured for 30, 35, and 40 years of service respectively, while two employees, namely Jones Rigodon and Andre Labrosse, who were not present at the event, were recognised for an extraordinary 45 years of service to the sector.

To mark their achievements, employees with five to 25 years of service were presented with a commemorative shield and a day pass at Canopy by Hilton Seychelles Resort. Those who had reached 40 and 45 years were rewarded with a shield, a symbolic coco de mer, and a memorable trip to Cerf Island.
