VICTORIA, Seychelles — Tourism establishments across Seychelles were recognised on Monday during the Seychelles Tourism Grading Programme award ceremony, held at the Eden Bleu Hotel. The programme, headed by the Tourism department, helps visitors understand the standards of hotels, guesthouses, and self-catering establishments, while giving businesses a trusted way to promote the quality of their services.
It includes two main categories: the Star Grading system for larger hotels, and the Seychelles Secrets awards for smaller hotels of 15 rooms or less, guesthouses, and self-catering properties. The annual recognition is designed to celebrate the efforts of operators who maintain high standards and continually invest in improving the visitor experience.
Officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture noted that the grading programme remains a key tool in strengthening the country’s tourism brand and ensuring that establishments are assessed against consistent, transparent criteria. Recipients expressed pride in the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining, and where possible exceeding, the standards expected by visitors. The Tourism department thanked all participating establishments and indicated that work will continue to expand the programme in the coming year.
