President Ramkalawan Appoints New Planning Authority Board

VICTORIA, Seychelles — President Wavel Ramkalawan has announced the appointment of the Planning Authority Board, in accordance with Section 9 of the Physical Planning Act, 2021. The appointment took effect on May 16, 2025, for a three-year period.
The full composition of the Planning Authority Board is as follows: Dilip Shah as chairperson, Angela Servina (Chief Executive Officer) as ex-officio member, Kenny Constance as member, Sinha Levkovic as member, Lenny Gabriel as member, Patrick Andre as member, Dr Jude Gedeon as member, Indira Gamatis as member, and Patrick Lablache as member. The board is expected to provide strategic direction and oversight to the Planning Authority, which is responsible for the orderly and sustainable development of land use in Seychelles.
According to the presidency, the appointment reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that the planning framework is guided by a team of experienced and qualified professionals who can address the complex challenges of land use, infrastructure, and environmental protection. The board will be required to meet regularly to consider planning applications, policy proposals, and other matters falling under the remit of the Planning Authority. The appointment is for a three-year term, after which a new board will be constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Physical Planning Act.
