Grand Anse Mahé Primary Pupils Paint Community Mural
VICTORIA, Seychelles — Pupils, teachers, parents and youth from the community came together recently to participate in a mural painting project on the boundary wall at Grand Anse Mahé primary school. The initiative was designed to beautify the school environment while promoting a sense of community spirit, and allowed the participants to discover how creative they can be.
The project was made possible thanks to the generous support of Penlac, a local company that donated the essential anti-fungus paint required for the artwork. One dedicated and proud parent took the lead, beginning the project by painting the entire 60-metre-long wall white, laying the perfect foundation for the mural’s artistic vision. Starting at 8am, participants worked tirelessly, with the event running until 2pm.
There was a palpable sense of excitement and enthusiasm in the air as everyone, from the youngest pupils to the adults, picked up their brushes and added their unique touch to the mural. Though the mural is not yet finished, significant progress was made, laying the groundwork for what promises to be a spectacular piece of art that will inspire and uplift both students and visitors alike. The school looks forward to completing the mural in the coming weeks, with everyone involved excited about the final result.
