Seychelles Strengthens Community Engagement Through Targeted Programmes

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The government of Seychelles has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening community engagement through targeted programmes that respond to the needs of citizens across the country. The programmes, which are run in partnership with civil society and community organisations, are designed to promote inclusion, participation, and national cohesion.

Members from Praslin were among those recognised during a recent community event for their contribution to a national programme, in a ceremony attended by President Wavel Ramkalawan and other senior officials. The recognition is part of a wider effort by the government to acknowledge the contribution of Seychellois who serve their communities with dedication and pride.

Officials noted that community engagement remains a priority for the government, and that the success of national programmes depends on the active participation of citizens. The government said it will continue to work with communities to develop and deliver programmes that make a real difference in the lives of Seychellois.
