Sifsa Hosts Christmas Party for Primary School Children at Maison Marengo
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Seychelles International Financial Services Association hosted a special Christmas party at Maison Marengo, Au Cap, bringing together children from various primary schools for an afternoon filled with entertainment, laughter and celebration. The initiative specifically targeted pupils who may not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in such festive events, reflecting the association’s strong commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
Speaking at the event, the association’s chairman, Dean Marianne, said it was the organisation’s second consecutive Christmas party for children. ‘We selected two pupils from each primary school in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Our aim is to bring the spirit of Christmas to children and make them feel special during this festive season,’ he said, adding that the initiative was entirely organised and supported by Sifsa members, highlighting the association’s collective dedication to community involvement.
The party featured a variety of fun-filled activities designed to entertain and engage the children, including a creative shopping game where pupils had to answer mathematics quizzes to earn prizes, a bouncy castle, and interactive ball games. One of the participants, Anelie Hardy from Cascade primary school, said it was her first time at a Christmas party. ‘The activities are fun and attractive. I participated in the ball game and went on the bouncy castle as well. I also made new friends,’ she said.
