VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, in collaboration with Seychelles Labriz Resort and Spa, once again hosted its annual youth engagement initiative last Friday on Silhouette Island, an event that has become a meaningful tradition since its inception.
The programme brought together secondary school students from across the country for a week of leadership training, team-building exercises, and community service activities in a setting designed to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.
Education officials said the initiative aims to nurture confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills among young Seychellois, while exposing them to careers in hospitality, conservation, and the service sector. The resort’s management welcomed the students and staff, and pledged continued support for the programme in coming years.
Participating schools expressed appreciation to the ministry and the resort for the opportunity, and said the experience had a lasting impact on the students involved.
