CBS Awards Vanessa Petrousse Guy Morel Scholarship for 2025

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Central Bank of Seychelles has officially announced the recipient of its seventh Guy Morel High Achievement Scholarship Programme. Vanessa Petrousse has been awarded the postgraduate scholarship for 2025. She received her award certificate during a brief ceremony held on Monday.

In congratulating the award recipient, the First Deputy Governor, Brian Commettant, assured her that the Central Bank of Seychelles will provide all necessary support and resources throughout her academic journey. He emphasised that CBS is committed to cultivating a workforce capable of developing and implementing innovative policies and strategies. ‘Financial sector personnel must also be ready to adapt to new opportunities and challenges in an ever-changing global financial environment,’ Mr Commettant stated.

Ms Petrousse will be pursuing her studies in Sustainable Finance with Financial Technology at the Heriot-Watt University, Dubai campus later this year. She is currently working at the Financial Services Authority and holds a Bachelor of Business Honours in International Business and Marketing from Taylor’s University, Malaysia. The Guy Morel High Achievement Scholarship Programme, established in 2018, offers two fully funded scholarships annually, one at the undergraduate level and one at the postgraduate level, and has supported six previous awardees through their chosen programmes.
