VICTORIA, Seychelles — The National Bureau of Statistics Seychelles (NBS) is conducting its Labour Force Survey for 2025, with trained data collectors set to visit randomly selected households over the coming months. The survey aims to gather comprehensive data on employment, unemployment, underemployment, labour force participation, employment rates and other labour market indicators.
According to the NBS, the information will help policymakers and planners better understand workforce dynamics and develop strategies to enhance economic and employment opportunities. During the survey period, data collectors will visit households ensuring a fair and representative sample for the year. The NBS has thanked the public in advance for their cooperation and participation in the exercise.
Households selected for the survey will be contacted directly by NBS staff, who will carry identification. The bureau has asked that members of the public cooperate with the data collectors and provide accurate information.
