PMAESA Secretary General Pays Courtesy Call on President Herminie

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Secretary General of the Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa (PMAESA), Colonel André Ciseau, paid a courtesy call on President Patrick Herminie at State House on Tuesday morning, where discussions focused on maritime cooperation, port development, and Seychelles’ role within regional port organisations.

During the meeting, Mr Ciseau shared insights into his work and highlighted Seychelles’ growing standing within the organisation and its representation at senior level. ‘It is a really important association and Seychelles has climbed up within this organisation until I reached the rank of secretary general. Currently on our board, Seychelles is represented as the First Vice-Chair of the association,’ Mr Ciseau said.

Discussions explored opportunities to deepen collaboration between Seychelles and other member states in port management, training, and the adoption of best practices. Both sides emphasised the importance of regional cooperation in supporting safe, efficient, and sustainable port operations across the Eastern and Southern African seaboard.
