President Herminie Meets His Highness Sheikh Nahyan to Strengthen UAE Ties
VICTORIA, Seychelles — President Dr Patrick Herminie has met with His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, in a meeting that reflects the deep and growing ties between Seychelles and the UAE. The two leaders discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the areas of investment, climate change, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the two leaders to review the strong bilateral relationship and to explore new avenues for collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working together to address shared challenges, including the impact of climate change on small island states and the importance of sustainable development.
President Herminie thanked His Highness for the warm reception and reaffirmed Seychelles’ commitment to deepening its partnership with the UAE. The two leaders agreed to continue high-level engagements and to follow up the meeting with concrete initiatives in priority areas of cooperation.
