Praslin Secondary Teachers Train on Smart Education Digital Platform

VICTORIA, Seychelles — A group of teachers from Praslin secondary school took part in a training session on Saturday aimed at enhancing their understanding of the Smart Education System and the Ulearning digital learning platform. The session took place at the school and is part of the ongoing Smart Education project being piloted in four schools across Seychelles.

The training covered the key functions of the digital platform, including lesson delivery, student assessment, classroom management, and data tracking. Teachers were guided through the system’s interface and given practical exercises to familiarise themselves with the tools they will be using in their daily teaching. The session was led by the Smart Education project team in collaboration with school leaders.

Officials from the Ministry of Education said the Smart Education System and Ulearning platform are designed to support modern teaching practices, improve learning outcomes, and provide teachers with better data to track student progress. The pilot phase will allow the ministry to gather feedback and refine the platform before rolling it out to additional schools. Teachers who took part in the training expressed appreciation for the hands-on approach and said they looked forward to using the platform in their classrooms.
