Young Tourism Ambassadors Celebrated at Lospitalite Tourism Club Awards

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The third edition of the Lospitalité Tourism Club Awards 2025 was held on Thursday afternoon at the Savoy Resort and Spa, bringing together students, teachers, parents, and tourism partners to celebrate youth development in the tourism sector. Hosted by the Tourism department, the event recognised the efforts of school tourism clubs, young tourism ambassadors, and parent-led businesses that help to promote Seychelles’ culture of hospitality.

The ceremony highlighted the growing importance of exposing young people to tourism skills from an early age and strengthening the link between education and industry. Anse Etoile primary school and Anse Royale secondary school were named the overall winners. Awards presented included certificates, trophies, goodie bags, and special prizes sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, as well as private sector partners from across the tourism industry.

Officials said the awards recognise not only the work of individual students and clubs, but also the wider contribution of the Seychellois community to building a strong service culture. The Tourism department thanked teachers, parents, and partners for their continued support, and noted that the next edition of the awards will seek to involve even more schools, particularly from Praslin and La Digue, to ensure that young people across all three main islands have the opportunity to develop skills and pursue careers in the tourism sector.
