Seychellois Student Anissa Lozaique to Represent Seychelles at Miss Africa Malaysia 2025
VICTORIA, Seychelles — Twenty-one-year-old Seychellois student Anissa Lozaique is among the finalists of the seventh Miss Africa Malaysia beauty pageant, which will be held on November 15, 2025 at the Premiera Hotel Kuala Lumpur, under the theme ‘Beauty: Brains: Grace’.
Ms Lozaique is currently pursuing her studies at Sunway University in Malaysia and will proudly be representing Seychelles on this international stage. Her journey began when she first discovered Miss Africa Malaysia through social media, where she was supporting one of her former teachers, Krisha Ally, who represented Seychelles in Miss Africa Malaysia 2024. The experience inspired her to apply for this year’s edition and pursue a personal goal of representing her country on the international beauty pageant circuit.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ms Lozaique said that taking part in the pageant is about more than a crown. It is about showcasing Seychellois culture, confidence, and identity on a global platform, while also building lifelong friendships with young African women from across the diaspora. She noted that the theme ‘Beauty: Brains: Grace’ reflects her own values and the message she hopes to send back home: that young Seychellois women can excel in any arena they choose.
The Miss Africa Malaysia pageant brings together representatives from across the African continent and the African diaspora, celebrating diversity, leadership, and the achievements of young African women in Malaysia. Ms Lozaique’s participation marks another moment of pride for Seychelles on the international stage and highlights the growing presence of Seychellois students in global cultural and academic circles.
