Central Bank of Seychelles Launches 2026 Guy Morel Scholarship Programme

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) has launched the 2026 edition of the Guy Morel Scholarship Programme, with applications now open for outstanding individuals who demonstrate both academic and non-academic excellence.

The scholarship, which is one of the most prestigious in the country, offers two streams of funding — one for undergraduate studies and one for postgraduate studies. At the postgraduate level, candidates may choose programmes in fields relevant to the country’s economic and social development needs, with priority given to areas such as economics, finance, climate science and public policy.

The application window is now open, and candidates will have the opportunity to pursue their studies at a university of their choice, either on campus or through a recognised online programme. The outcome of the selection process will be announced at the start of March 2026.

The Guy Morel Scholarship Programme, named after the late economist and former CBS Governor Guy Morel, has supported the education of hundreds of Seychellois at leading universities around the world. The CBS encourages all eligible candidates to apply and take advantage of this important opportunity to further their studies and contribute to national development.
