Sacos Celebrates 45th Anniversary by Honouring Long-Serving Brokers, Agents and Staff

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Sacos Group Limited celebrated its 45th anniversary by honouring the dedication of its long-serving brokers, agents and staff in a ceremony yesterday evening at the Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa. During the event, two employees were recognised for thirty years of service, four for twenty-five years, two for fifteen years, while seven staff were honoured for their ten years of service.

The company also recognised its brokers and agents, with 12 of them being honoured for having served between 10 and 19 years, 17 others for 20 to 29 years of dedication, while four were rewarded for their 30 and more years of service. Among them was Dolor Ernesta, a Sacos life insurance agent with 33 years of service, who expressed his passion for the job, explaining that with limited investment opportunities in Seychelles, life insurance is a reliable option that anyone can invest in. ‘The need to encourage people to save was one of the reasons that inspired me to pursue this career,’ he said, vowing to remain in this line of work for as long as he is able. Macdonald Malvina, with 30 years of service, said his journey started in the finance department and he is now in the reinsurance department. ‘I hope to stay longer and to continue to give my all for Sacos,’ he expressed.

In her opening remarks, Sacos chief executive Georgette Capricieuse dedicated the ceremony to the hard work, dedication and resilience of the company’s brokers, agents and staff. ‘Forty-five years ago, this company began with a simple mission to protect, serve and to grow with integrity. That mission still guides us,’ she noted. Chairman Patrice Bastide praised the dedication of the Seychellois workforce, stating that it is their commitment that has brought Sacos to this milestone. Looking ahead, he mentioned that Sacos plans to explore how artificial intelligence can be embraced in the insurance industry. The evening ended with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony led by Ms Capricieuse and Mr Bastide, and guests were also treated to performances, including the Sacos song by Tania Jeremie and renowned artist Patrick Victor.
