Sheena Woodcock Appointed Deputy CEO of Public Transport Corporation

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Following a major optimisation exercise conducted by the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) to improve bus services, the company has appointed Sheena Woodcock as its new deputy chief executive. Her appointment took effect on June 9, 2025.

Ms Woodcock previously served with the National Information Services Agency (NISA), and brings a wealth of administrative and communications experience to the transport company. She replaces Christopher Laurence, who resigned in December 2024. The SPTC said the appointment is part of a broader drive to modernise the corporation and improve service delivery to commuters.

Officials at the SPTC said further announcements on operational improvements and new routes will be made in the coming weeks. The corporation reiterated its commitment to providing a safe, reliable and efficient public transport service to all Seychellois.
