Call for Nominations for Seychelles’ Third National Awards Opens

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The National Awards Committee has officially opened nominations for the third National Awards, an initiative that recognises outstanding Seychellois for their extraordinary contributions to the nation. The launch was announced at a press conference held yesterday by committee chairperson Bernard Grandcourt, accompanied by other members of the National Awards Committee.
The National Awards are presented every two years and aim to honour citizens who have made significant contributions across various fields, including public service, business, arts, sports, education, healthcare, and community development. Members of the public are encouraged to submit nominations for individuals whose work has had a lasting positive impact on the country and its people.
Nomination forms and detailed criteria are available at the National Awards Committee offices and on the official government portal. The committee is urging individuals, community groups, businesses, and government bodies to participate actively in the process by identifying and nominating deserving citizens. The closing date for nominations and the date of the awards ceremony will be announced in due course. The awards reflect the nation’s commitment to celebrating excellence and inspiring future generations of Seychellois.
