Transport Minister Laporte Engages SPTC Staff on Service Improvements
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Minister for Transport, Veronique Laporte, has engaged with staff of the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) on ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and address operational challenges facing the public bus network.
During the engagement, Minister Laporte acknowledged the dedication of SPTC staff and recognised the central role they play in the daily lives of commuters across Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. She said the government remains committed to supporting the corporation in delivering a reliable, safe, and efficient public transport service.
Discussions covered a range of operational matters, including scheduling, fleet maintenance, and customer service. Staff raised concerns about resources, working conditions, and training needs, and the minister undertook to follow up on the issues raised with relevant authorities.
