Danny Faure Foundation Launches Global Wave Dance Song Competition
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Danny Faure Foundation has announced an international song competition, inviting talented composers, musicians and singers from around the world to take part in the contest, named the ‘Wave Dance Song Competition’. The global initiative, part of the Wave Dance Artists movement within the foundation, aims to raise awareness about ocean conservation and protection through the universal language of music and dance.
The competition, which opened for registrations on February 17, 2025, offers participants a chance to showcase their creativity while contributing to an important environmental cause. Entrants are encouraged to compose a signature song that embodies the spirit of the Wave Dance initiative, a global movement using dance to highlight the urgent need for ocean preservation. Participants can register and access competition guidelines on the Danny Faure Foundation’s website. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2025, and all entries will be judged by an international panel chaired by Ambassador Patrick Victor.
The grand prize for the winner is a substantial USD 5,000 cash award, sponsored by the African Mosaïque Design Centre, along with a prestigious trophy and certificate offered by the Danny Faure Foundation. The prize not only recognises artistic excellence, but also supports the winner’s continued contribution to the arts and environmental advocacy.
