Housing Projects Under Review on Mahé and Praslin

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The department of Lands and Housing, led by the secretary of state for Lands and Housing, Joseph François, has conducted a series of site visits on Mahé and Praslin, as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor housing projects, land bank developments, and other key sites related to housing and land development.

On Praslin, the visits covered both Baie Ste Anne and Grand Anse and were carried out in the presence of the respective members of the National Assembly, Hon. Churchill Gill and Hon Alvin Grandcourt. These on-site engagements provided an opportunity to assess progress on ongoing projects, review land-related matters, and engage directly on issues affecting the districts.

During the visits, the delegation also met with members of the public to discuss housing- and land-related concerns, allowing for direct engagement and constructive exchanges on challenges faced on the ground. The visits on Mahé continued the department’s assessment of housing projects and potential development sites, reinforcing the government’s commitment to addressing housing needs and ensuring effective planning and implementation.
