Seychelles United Movement Extends Condolences on Passing of Hon. Charles de Commarmond
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Seychelles United Movement (SUM) and party president Marco Francis have extended their deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of former member of the National Assembly Charles de Commarmond, who passed away on Saturday morning.
A statement released on Monday said Mr de Commarmond dedicated many years of his life to public service as a member of the National Assembly of Seychelles. ‘We recognise his commitment to national service and extend our sincere sympathies to all who mourn his passing,’ the statement said, adding that Mr de Commarmond’s long career left a mark on the institution he served.
‘At this time of loss, we stand with his loved ones and wish them strength, comfort, and peace. May he rest in peace,’ the statement concluded. Tributes from across the political spectrum have highlighted the former representative for Cascade’s integrity, his dedication to development, and his commitment to the people he served.
