Seychelles Fashion Week 2025 Launches with Global Celebration of Style and Creativity

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The eighth edition of Seychelles Fashion Week, a celebration of fashion, art, and culture, was officially launched on Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025, at La Plage, Beau Vallon, by the Minister for Industry and Enterprise, Geralda Desaubin. The launch marked the start of a week of activities showcasing local and regional designers, models, and creative talent.

Now firmly established on the regional fashion calendar, Seychelles Fashion Week brings together established names and emerging designers from across the Indian Ocean and beyond, providing a platform to promote Seychellois creativity and to strengthen the country’s positioning as a hub for cultural and creative industries. The 2025 edition features runway shows, pop-up exhibitions, designer talks, and workshops aimed at nurturing young talent and supporting the growth of the local fashion sector.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Desaubin highlighted the importance of the creative industries to economic diversification and youth employment, noting that fashion, art, and culture are increasingly important drivers of the Seychellois brand. She also thanked sponsors, designers, and partners for their continued support. The week’s programme culminates in a grand finale runway show, with awards presented to outstanding designers and models in various categories.
