SUM Outlines Education Vision as Central Pillar of National Development
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Seychelles United Movement (SUM) has placed education at the centre of its national development vision, in remarks delivered by Minister Valentin at a recent party engagement. The Minister said that education is the foundation of the country’s future, and that the party’s policies are designed to ensure that every Seychellois has access to quality education from early childhood to higher education.
‘This is why SUM has placed education at the heart of its programme,’ said Minister Valentin. The party is committed to investing in teachers, modernising school infrastructure, expanding vocational and technical training, and supporting lifelong learning.
Officials said the education vision is closely linked to other SUM priorities, including economic diversification, health system strengthening, and environmental sustainability. The party is expected to continue to present its education policies to the people of Seychelles in the lead-up to the elections, in a series of community engagements and public meetings.
