Seychelles Tourism Academy and Club Med Sign Landmark MoU to Develop Local Talent
VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Seychelles Tourism Academy and tourism establishment Club Med Seychelles, represented by Société des Villages de Vacances des Seychelles Limited, have entered into a landmark memorandum of understanding aimed at elevating Seychellois talent in global hospitality. The MoU, signed yesterday, sets out a clear framework for collaboration between the two institutions.
“Through this MoU, when a student goes through the STA and secures an industrial placement at Club Med, it is not just about developing their talent as a hospitality professional, but also about giving them exposure to international standards and best practices,” said the academy. The agreement is expected to open up new pathways for Seychellois students interested in pursuing careers in the global hospitality industry.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, officials from both institutions emphasised the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and industry players in providing students with the practical experience and skills needed to succeed in a competitive global market. The MoU is also expected to support the continued development of Seychelles’ tourism sector, which remains a key pillar of the country’s economy.
