Kenneth Racombo Accredited as Ambassador to Sovereign Military Order of Malta

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Seychelles’ resident ambassador to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Kenneth Racombo, presented his credentials to the Prince and Grand Master of the Order, Fra’ John Dunlap, on 10 January 2025. The ceremony marked the formal accreditation of Mr Racombo as Seychelles’ representative to the Order.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Racombo conveyed greetings from the President of Seychelles and discussed matters of mutual interest with the Grand Master. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta, a lay religious order of the Catholic Church, maintains diplomatic relations with over 100 countries and has observer status at the United Nations.

The presentation of credentials is a longstanding diplomatic tradition marking the formal beginning of an ambassador’s tenure in their host country. Mr Racombo’s accreditation strengthens Seychelles’ engagement with the Order, which is active in humanitarian work in 120 countries, including medical, social and emergency relief programmes.

According to a press release from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the accreditation reflects the continued deepening of Seychelles’ relations with the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and its commitment to multilateral engagement across humanitarian and diplomatic spheres.
