President Ramkalawan Meets Airport Taxi Operators to Resolve Disputes

VICTORIA, Seychelles — President Wavel Ramkalawan has met with airport taxi operators to discuss ongoing concerns and to facilitate discussions aimed at reaching a consensus on key issues affecting the sector. The meeting, which was held in the presence of senior officials from the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) and the Seychelles Police, was convened to ensure that the views of all stakeholders are taken into account.

During the meeting, taxi operators raised concerns about the management of services at the airport and the impact on their livelihoods. The President facilitated discussions aimed at reaching an agreement on the way forward, with a focus on safety, service quality, and the smooth running of airport operations.

The President expressed his appreciation to all parties for their willingness to engage in dialogue, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working with the taxi operators, SCAA, and other relevant authorities to find a sustainable solution. The meeting is expected to be followed by further consultations in the coming weeks.
