Seychelles Launches Fast-Track Border Corridor for Citizens at International Airport
VICTORIA, Seychelles — Seychelles has launched a fast-track border corridor for Seychellois citizens at the Seychelles International Airport, marking a major improvement in the country’s border management system. The new corridor is expected to reduce waiting times and to provide a smoother experience for returning citizens.
Officials at the launch noted that the new system uses modern biometric and digital identification technology to verify travellers quickly and securely. The fast-track corridor is part of broader efforts to modernise the country’s border infrastructure and to enhance the experience of travellers while maintaining the integrity of border security.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Immigration thanked the technical teams and partners who contributed to the project. The government said it will continue to invest in modern, efficient systems that reflect the country’s commitment to facilitating travel and trade while keeping Seychelles safe.
