Minister Rangasamy Marks Labour Day with Call for Dynamic Workforce

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Lands and Housing Minister Billy Rangasamy used his Labour Day message yesterday to thank staff for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the ministry and to the country, and to underline this year’s theme, ‘A Dynamic Workforce for a Strong Economy’. The minister said the theme demonstrates the importance of harnessing the skills, adaptability, and innovation of the people to overcome the challenges of a changing world and to embrace new opportunities for growth.

‘Today, as we celebrate Labour Day, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to the ministry and to the country. Your daily efforts during the transition period are the foundation of the progress we continue to achieve,’ Minister Rangasamy said. ‘At the Ministry of Lands and Housing, we remain committed to supporting the development of policies and practices that not only drive economic growth but also safeguard the rights and wellbeing of all our employees.’

The minister added that, by investing in continuous learning and empowering every worker to reach their full potential, the ministry is building a strong foundation for sustainable development and national prosperity. He extended Labour Day wishes to all staff of the ministry, the Seychelles Infrastructure Agency (SIA), the Planning Authority (PA), and the Property Management Corporation (PMC), urging them to ‘enjoy the day with your loved ones and stay committed to our mission as we move forward together’.
