President Ramkalawan Extends Eid Mubarak Greetings to Muslim Community

VICTORIA, Seychelles — President Wavel Ramkalawan has extended his warmest greetings and heartfelt best wishes to the Muslim community of Seychelles on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. In a message released yesterday, the President said: ‘As you mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection, let us celebrate the values of compassion, unity, and generosity that this sacred period represents.’
President Ramkalawan added: ‘Your unwavering faith and dedication to acts of kindness and charity continue to enrich our nation, reinforcing the principles of peace, solidarity, and mutual respect that define our Seychellois identity. Eid is a time of togetherness, gratitude and sharing with those in need. In this spirit, I encourage all citizens to embrace the message of Eid — one of hope, reconciliation and love for our neighbours.’
He further called on citizens to continue strengthening the bonds that unite the country as one people, regardless of religious backgrounds. ‘On behalf of the government and the people of Seychelles, I wish you a blessed Eid al Fitr filled with happiness, prosperity and peace. May this occasion bring you and your loved ones joy, and may the Almighty continue to shower His blessings upon you. Eid Mubarak!’ The President concluded his message by thanking the Muslim community for its continued contribution to the social and cultural fabric of the nation.
