British-Jamaican Singer June Lodge to Perform Valentine’s Concert

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Fans of June Carol Lodge, the British-Jamaican reggae singer renowned for her bestselling single ‘Someone Loves You, Honey’, will get the chance to see her perform live in a Valentine’s Day concert in Victoria. The concert, organised by Veuve Entertainment, will take place tomorrow night starting at 7.30pm at the International Conference Centre (ICCS).

Tickets cost R600 each and are on sale at Dara’s Plus in Victoria, and will also be available at the door tomorrow night. Speaking at a press conference at the Seychelles Resort and Spa, Beau Vallon yesterday, Ms Lodge, alongside her manager Errol O’Meally, shared her excitement about the upcoming performance. ‘I have been speaking to the promoter for a while as I was very excited to come here, but due to Covid-19, we were not able to,’ she said.

Ms Lodge, whose career spans several decades of reggae, lovers’ rock and gospel recordings, is best known for classics that have been covered across the Caribbean and Africa. The Valentine’s Day concert is expected to draw a sizeable audience of Seychellois music lovers and visitors, and the organisers are advising early ticket purchase. The performance forms part of a wider regional tour that includes stops across the Indian Ocean.
