President Herminie Inaugurates Seychelles’ First Open MRI at Victoria Health Clinic

President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, today officially inaugurated Seychelles’ first open MRI at Victoria Health Clinic, located in the district of Anse Etoile. The ceremony featured the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and the cutting of ribbons to mark this significant milestone in healthcare development.

The event was attended by guests from the Ministry of Health, healthcare professionals from the private sector, including Health Minister Dr. Marvin Fanny, Public Health Commissioner Dr. Jude Gedeon, and staff of the Victoria Health Clinic. This project is a proud initiative of the Victoria Health Clinic, led by its Director, Mrs. Daniella Payet, in partnership with the Nivaran Group, a renowned provider of specialized healthcare services.

In his address, President Herminie commended the management and team of the Victoria Health Clinic for their role as a private healthcare facility contributing to national development. He emphasized that the new open MRI represents a crucial step toward broader healthcare improvements. The advanced imaging technology will enhance diagnostic capabilities within the private sector, alleviate pressure on public healthcare services, and provide citizens with greater access to vital imaging services, shorter waiting times, and expanded healthcare options.
