VICTORIA, Seychelles — Sacos clients based on Praslin and La Digue had the chance to meet the company’s top officials and learn about the services being offered, during a customer appreciation event held this week on both islands. The event held at the Pirogue Restaurant and Bar, Côte d’Or on Praslin on Tuesday evening was attended by Sacos’ chairman Patrice Bastide, the chief executive Georgette Capricieuse, heads of departments from Mahé and staff based on Praslin.
In his address, Mr Bastide described Sacos as financially strong and one of the best companies in Africa. ‘Sacos will be celebrating its 45 years this year. We realise that we were born in a different world and now we have to adapt to a new one. This is why we have embarked on a journey of change, and as we do so, it is important for us to place ourselves in the middle of the communities that we serve. This is why we are here today,’ stated the chairman.
The events form part of a wider outreach programme by Sacos to reinforce its relationship with clients in the inner islands, where many policyholders continue to renew their motor and home insurance despite limited branch presence. The company, established in 1980, has built its customer base largely through word of mouth and a network of agents in the inner islands. The inner islands’ events also gave clients the opportunity to ask questions about new products, including the recently launched travel insurance and the simplified micro-insurance for small business owners. Sacos said the response from clients in Praslin and La Digue was positive, and similar events are planned for other districts of Mahé in the coming weeks.
