
VICTORIA, Seychelles — Customers will soon have the option of using the Airtel Money platform for bill payments at all Skychef Servair locations in the country, through a partnership between the two companies. The partnership was officially announced yesterday by Skychef’s chief executive Veronique Laporte and her counterpart from Airtel, Eddy Kapuku, during a ceremony at the Skychef shop located at the Seychelles International Airport at Pointe Larue.
Mr Kapuku said the facility is not only a beneficial move for Airtel, but also a significant advancement for the nation. He noted that the Airtel Money platform offers a seamless solution for transactions, enabling users to make payments effortlessly with just a tap on their mobile devices. On behalf of Skychef, manager of sales and marketing Wryna Cadeau said they are proud to have been the first to gain from this collaboration with Airtel.
Airtel’s brand and marketing communications manager Jude Valmont said, through the platform, customers can enjoy a 10 per cent discount on all Skychef products until February 28, and that shoppers will be thrilled to learn that every purchase made with Airtel Money this month also grants them an entry into a weekly draw of R1,000, which concludes on February 28. The service is accessible to all prepaid Airtel users who have signed up on the My Airtel app, while through this app, customers can effortlessly make payments for their purchases by simply scanning a Quick Response (QR) code.
