With the planning phase for the new La Digue Hospital project nearing completion, the Office of the President has announced the official launching of the La Digue Hospital Fund.
Although the hospital project is being financed through an international grant from Abu Dhabi for the construction of the building, various local expenses are also being incurred. Hence, the creation of the Fund to cater for that part of the expenditure.
President Wavel Ramkalawan is therefore making a special appeal to potential donors, particularly members of the La Digue Business Community and residents as well as friends of La Digue to join forces with the Government in support of this project. The La Digue Hospital Project, a proposed state of the art modern facility to be located in the vicinity of L’Union Estate will benefit the La Digue community and will play an important part in the vision of improving the medical facilities of the country.
