VICTORIA, Seychelles — The department of Lands and Housing has carried out a series of site visits on Mahé and Praslin to monitor ongoing housing projects, land bank developments, and other key sites linked to the country’s land administration.
On Praslin, the delegation reviewed sites in Baie Ste Anne and Grand Anse alongside National Assembly members Hon. Churchill Gill and Hon. Alvin Grandcourt. The visits enabled officials to assess progress on existing projects, examine land-related matters, and engage directly with residents on concerns affecting the districts.
During the tour, the delegation met members of the public to discuss housing and land issues, allowing for direct exchanges on challenges encountered on the ground. The Mahé leg of the visits continued the department’s broader assessment of housing projects and potential development sites, reinforcing the government’s stated commitment to addressing housing needs.
Secretary of State for Lands and Housing Joseph François led the delegation. According to the department, the site visits form part of a continuous monitoring and engagement process aimed at identifying practical solutions and determining the way forward for housing and land development across the islands.
