Anse Boileau Clinches Three Prizes at District Administration Awards

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Ministry of Local Government and Inner Islands held its end-of-year award ceremony at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort and Casino on Wednesday, celebrating the dedication, innovation, and community spirit demonstrated by district administrations across Seychelles throughout the year. The ceremony was attended by President Patrick Herminie, accompanied by First Lady Véronique Herminie, Vice-President Sebastien Pillay, and the Minister for Local Government and Inner Islands, Eveline Rose.

Anse Boileau emerged as one of the top performers of the evening, winning the Best Overall District Administration Office, Outstanding District Administration Customer Care Award, and the Excellence in Initiative Development Award, reflecting strong public engagement, innovation, and service delivery. Anne Savy, the district administrator for Anse Boileau, said success comes from teamwork, with a total of eight staff members who always consult one another.

Several other awards were presented to district administrations in recognition of excellence across different categories. Grand Anse Praslin received the Most Environment-Friendly District Administration Area Award, St Louis was awarded Excellence in Community Project Implementation, and Baie Ste Anne, Praslin, received the Outstanding District Partnership Award. The evening also included a memorial tribute in honour of two late staff members, Marie-Lina Juliette and Jacintha Esparon.
