VICTORIA, Seychelles — The National Assembly has approved the final two nominations for the posts of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Seychelles, confirming Patrick Victor and Nicholas Prea during Wednesday’s sitting. Both motions were presented by the leader of government business, Hon. Sylvana Lemiel, and seconded by Hon. Audrey Vidot.
Patrick Andre Victor, widely known as Patrick Victor, shared his personal and professional journey with members of the Assembly, recalling his childhood in Pointe Larue and Anse Boileau, his schooling at Saint Elizabeth, Saint John Bosco, and Dominic Savio, and his early exposure to music while living on Hangard Street. The vote followed a thorough review of his candidacy and recognises his longstanding contribution to Seychellois music and national life.
Nicholas Prea’s nomination was also debated and approved at the same sitting. The two confirmations complete the current cycle of ambassadorial appointments, allowing the government to proceed with formal accreditations in their respective countries of posting.
