VICTORIA, Seychelles — The National Assembly yesterday endorsed the appointments of four new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Seychelles: Jacques Belle, Terry Romain, Jacqueline Moustache-Belle, and Andre Pool.
Their nominations were confirmed during both the morning and afternoon sittings, after debate on their respective credentials, experience, and proposed areas of deployment. Members of the Assembly questioned the candidates on matters relating to trade promotion, diaspora engagement, and the protection of Seychellois interests abroad.
In his address, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Public Service thanked members for the constructive engagement and said the four appointees would be deployed to missions where their professional backgrounds could best serve national priorities, including fisheries, climate diplomacy, and consular services.
The new ambassadors are expected to take up their posts in the first quarter of 2026, subject to the completion of standard pre-posting procedures.
