VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Seychelles Police has responded to a road accident in the Grand Anse Praslin area, in which two other persons were badly injured. The accident, which occurred in recent days, prompted an immediate response from the Police and the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA), who intervened to rescue the victims and to provide first aid at the scene.
‘My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have been affected by this incident at this difficult moment,’ said President Wavel Ramkalawan, in a statement responding to the accident. The President urged all road users to be vigilant, to respect the rules of the road, and to prioritise the safety of themselves and others.
The Police has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, and is expected to provide further updates in the coming days. Officials reiterated the importance of road safety and called on all road users to play their part in preventing accidents and in keeping Seychelles’ roads safe.
